Week 2 Games – 4/12/2016

The first game between Boston United and Cash was cancelled as many of Boston United’s players were on a school field trip.

Boston United will forfeit the game and Cash will receive a 50-40 victory.

The 2nd game featured Blue Hill Boys and Girls Club and Team Kevin. From the start, Blue Hill was all over Team Kevin, beating them up the court on most of their offensive possessions.  It seemed that Blue Hill would run away with the victory after accumulating a 10-point lead within the first 6 minutes, but Herlaine Germain kept his team in the game by hitting 3 tres in the first half.  Team Kevin was only down 9 points after the first period.

From the beginning of the 2nd half, Blue Hill’s fast-paced, but controlled tempo was too much for Team Kevin to handle. Every player on Blue Hill was effective at getting to the rim and they all finished their close-range shots.  Overall, the team never settled for outside looks, and worked extremely hard at taking solid shots.  Blue Hill went on to win the game by a score of 67-47.

#1 for Blue Hill, Broadway, really stood out throughout the entire game.  He clearly worked hard on both ends of the court can gave 100% on each possession.  He is definitely someone to look out for in the future.

For Team Kevin, it seems that the answer they seek is located on the defensive end.  When the team locked up and worked to disrupt Blue Hills offensive strategy, good things happened on the other end.  If the team can figure this out soon, they still have a solid chance moving forward.

Next Games:

Team Kevin plays Boston United at 4:00pm on 4/19, and Blue Hills faces Cash at 4:00pm on 4/21.
